Description

Over 200 concerts around the world will be celebrating Playing for Change Day, join the fun and help two music education organizations in the process!  50% of the donations will go to LiveConnections here in Philadelphia, and 50% will go to support worldwide efforts of the Playing for Change Foundation.  Ticket sales will be used to offset modest out of pocket expenses to present the concert.  Cash only tickets will be available at the door providing the event is not sold out..  The musicians and many volunteers have donated their time and effort to the cause and your contributions are greatly appreciated, too.

Since 2008, LiveConnections has served as a creator and curator of innovative, cross-genre music experiences. Through live performance and interactive education, LiveConnections’ three program areas connect diverse audiences with top-notch artists from across the musical spectrum. Programs take place at World Cafe Live venues in Philadelphia and Wilmington, in a partnership that opens the venues to new audiences and capitalizes on the acoustics, intimacy and artist-centered design.

The Playing For Change benefit concert is brought to you by LocalArtsLive and the Corzo Center at the University of the Arts.

Note: The requirement to sign-up with TicketLeap in order to buy tickets is typical of smaller ticketing services and I'm sorry that I cannot over-ride that option, however, I have been a member for a few years and I don't recall receiving unwanted notices from them. If you are truly concerned about this, you may purchase you ticket(s) with cash at the door. Please note, however, that the first 100 online tickets sold online receive priority seating, so you might lose that option if you wait to buy them in person.

On a positive note about TicketLeap - they are a Philadelphia based company so I'm pleased to be supporting a local business.
